can BPM Data Objects use external XSD data types?

Hi BPM folks,

I am trying to create a BPM where I need to map an external xsd message. But after importing the service definition, I try to define the data object in the BPM, but the data types used in the service are not visible in the selection of data type.

I tried to import the MailPackage as a PO service from the ESR + imported it as a separate XSD. Neither approachesworked.

You can see that the data type exist in the component after the service import:

But it cannot be found when specifying the DataObject data type:

Whereas, all the "normal" data types defined in the SAP PO ESR are available once a ESR service is imported:

So, can services based on external xsd's be used in BPM?
